Pius Font i Quer (Lleida 1888 – Barcelona 1964), prominent botanist and president of the ICHN between 1931 and 1934. He lived in Manresa in his years of childhood and youth. He got the doctorate with the study of the flora and vegetation of Bages, his first relevant contribution to the Botany. A high school and a street in Manresa are named Dr Pius Font i Quer on his honor.
